I want to take the cable car to the top station and toboggan. Which map do I need?
Either the combined ticket, or you buy the ascent at the main ticket office and directly at the middle station you pay the tickets for the summer toboggan run.
How long does the journey up take?
To the middle station about 10 minutes, to the top station about 20 minutes.
Can you get off at the middle station?
Yes on the up-ramp and no on the down-ramp.
Can you stop the cable car too?
On request we can slow down the cable car or stop it completely.
Can I take my dog in the cable car?
Yeah, if he stays in his seat, on his own responsibility.
Can I take my child on my lap in the cable car?
Yeah, up to six feet tall.
When are children allowed to ride the cable car?
No age limit when accompanied by an adult. Children of compulsory school age and older may ride alone.
Does the double chairlift always run?
She doesn't ride in storms and lightning. Otherwise it is open in all weather conditions.
Summer toboggan runs
What is the difference between "Classic" and "Blitz"?
"Classic": Start of middle station, tub lift, approx. 1.3 km length.
"Lightning." Beginning of valley, rail-bound summer toboggan run, closed circuit, ascent sitting in a sledge, up to 40 km/h, 1.3 km length.
Can you go sledding in the rain?
"Lightning." Yes. In addition, acrylic glass hoods, which are attached when it rains, offer protection against rain and wind.
Are you allowed to take two children on a sleigh ride?
No! There's not enough room.
Is a child from the age of eight years allowed to ride with an adult?
"Classic": No! There's not enough room!
Can the tobogganing tickets be used on both tracks?
Yes. With the 3s and 6s cards you can also vary between both courses.
When will children be allowed to go sledding?
"Classic": No age limit, alone from the age of eight.
"Lightning." From three years, in the company of an adult, from eight years alone.
How long does a ride on the summer toboggan run take?
"Classic": Approx. 10 minutes drive up, approx. 3 - 5 minutes drive down.
"Lightning." About 10 minutes ascent, descent depending on how you sled.
How do I get to the climbing forest?
Starting point is the valley station of the Blombergbahn (approach).
The total of 490 Hm can be mastered by train, on foot or by bike.
How long does the way to the climbing forest take?
Blombergbahn: approx. 15 min. ride with the chairlift. From the top station it is another 10 min. easy walk to the climbing forest.
On foot: approx. 45 - 90 min.
By bike: ca. 40 min. (sporty), 60 min. (nomalo) on the forest road
What do I have to bring?
Comfortable clothing, sneakers or light mountain boots, rain and wind protection.
What's the process?
After you have read and signed the user rules, you will receive the safety equipment consisting of helmet, full body harness and the self-locking devices. In a safety briefing of about 20 minutes our trainers will show you how to use the equipment. Here all kinds of belaying are demonstrated and practiced. Afterwards, the participants are allowed to enter the facility on their own responsibility.
How long does the inspection of the plant take?
After the safety briefing you have three hours to walk through the facility. For each additional hour or part thereof we charge 5 Euro.
From how many years can you climb?
Children from 4 years can climb in the star course (3 courses at a height of 1-3 m). One accompanying person is sufficient for this.
The higher courses can be climbed from 6 years on. If the children are less than 1.30 m tall, two adults must climb with them to operate the children's own safety devices.
Children and adolescents under 18 years of age generally require a declaration of consent from their parents. Young people from 14 years of age may climb alone in the climbing forest with a signed declaration of consent.
Do I have to register in advance?
Families and groups of up to 8 people do not need to register.

How long does the way from the climbing forest to the summer toboggan run take?
The summer toboggan run starts at the middle station of the Blomberg cable car. From the climbing forest it is a 20 min. walk downhill on the hiking trail.
When is the climbing forest closed?
For safety reasons we are closed in case of continuous rain, thunderstorm or storm.
Basically, if the Blombergbahn is running, we are also open, because in light rain it is possible to walk around the facility with appropriate clothing.
How fit or sporty do I have to be?
An average athletic ability is sufficient for an inspection. Please inform the coaches about any health restrictions in advance.
When do I have to pay?
Cash or EC card before the tour. Unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards.
Groups will be sent an invoice after the event.

Is the climbing forest safe?
The climbing forest was built in accordance with current standards (DIN EN 15567). The facility is TÜV tested and is regularly maintained by qualified personnel. All trees are inspected annually by a tree expert for stability and released.
The safety equipment specially developed for high ropes courses consists of a complete harness, helmet and self-locking device (Y-shaped safety device with two steel carabiners).
All participants will receive a detailed safety briefing by our trained trainers in our ground-level instruction course before the inspection of the plant. Here, the correct handling of the equipment and the different types of securing are demonstrated and practiced by the participants.
During the inspection of the plant, the participants are supervised by our trainers, who give tips and provide assistance if necessary.

Don't worry - we're here! The inspection of the courses can be stopped at any time at your own request. Our experienced trainers are happy to help at any time. We can easily get you back on solid ground from any point of the course.
Are the participants supervised during the inspection?
Our safety trainers are always present and available at the facility to support you.
Do I need gloves for climbing?
No. It can be climbed without gloves. For people with sensitive hands or in cooler temperatures we recommend cycling gloves or gardening gloves with a good grip.
What kind of security system is used?
We use a conventional Y-safety system like the via ferrata. The system requires a certain degree of self-responsibility, as there is the possibility of a fall by unhooking both carabiners. Adults are jointly responsible for the correct securing of children. We attach great importance to a detailed safety briefing and appropriate supervision and care of the participants in the course.
